Seth Hester serves as the Director of Fountains and Aeration for The Lake Doctors, bringing more than a decade of hands-on experience and leadership to the role.

Seth holds a degree in Criminal Justice and is factory-trained and certified to repair all fountain systems offered by The Lake Doctors.

Before joining TLD in 2009, Seth worked in industrial and construction supply sales, a career he began while attending the University of Louisiana. He advanced within his company and relocated from Lafayette, Louisiana, to Charleston, South Carolina. Following the economic downturn in 2008, Seth made a career shift that ultimately led him to The Lake Doctors. 

He joined the company in August 2009 as a Field Biologist, at a time when the fountain division was still in its infancy. Through initiative and a strong interest in the specialty, Seth helped grow the program from the ground up. By 2013, he transitioned full-time into fountains, playing a key role in expanding the operation from a one-person team in Summerville to a multi-technician department. Over the years, he has progressed through roles including Fountain Technician, Fountain Manager, and Senior Fountain Manager, ultimately stepping into his current leadership position.

Outside of work, Seth enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, golfing, and traveling. He also takes pride in maintaining his property, often spending hours on a tractor or lawnmower. Seth and his wife, Lysa, have been married since 2009 and have two children, Mack and Layla. Their household also includes two dogs, Sawyer and Millie, a rotating cast of cats, and a pair of resident geese named Tony and Pepper. According to Seth’s daughter, Seth secretly knows the words to just about every Taylor Swift song and has no problem walking miles on end at Disney World, heat and humidity included.
